Help Melissa Heal After Surgery – $2,500 Goal

 

Hi, I’m Melissa Downard Brankiewicz— an intuitive healer, meditation guide, and spiritual teacher based in Freelton, Ontario. Many of you know me through the work I do helping others connect to their inner guidance, find peace, and explore their spiritual gifts.

 

Now I find myself in a season of needing help.

May 21st 225 I underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in my right hip — a long-overdue procedure that will help relieve chronic pain and restore mobility. While I’m deeply grateful for the medical care, the recovery period comes with unexpected costs I cannot manage on my fixed disability income. I have been on disability from nursing since 2020 due to my chronic back and hip pain !

For those that have known me from back befor 2018 ! They know I had to come out of my career in nursing due to my back and hip and leg pain ! I had back surgery but it didn’t really do a whole lot of help in 2018 . I still have back issues but also years later I was diagnosed with a torn labrum in my hip and also bone on bone arthritis in my right big toe .

 

In 2024 I had Fusion surgery to my Right big toe and that helped a lot with the pain and now I finally got my hip surgery done . And after I heal from this I will be healing back in for back surgery to do a fusion a bit higher up in my back and also decompression.

 

Now, I’m on my own healing path and in need of support.

 

What I Need Help With:

• $400 for renting a post-op therapy device that reduces pain and speeds healing

• $75–$100 for a raised toilet seat and crutches to help me safely get around

• $450–$700 for essential physiotherapy sessions during recovery

• $500–$1,000 to help cover living expenses and lost income while I’m unable to teach

• $150–$200 to help with groceries, pet care, and small recovery needs

 

I’m asking for help so I can focus on healing without the added stress of how I’ll pay for it all. Every donation, no matter how small, brings a sense of relief and helps me move forward.

 

My total goal is $2,500, which covers the basics and lets me focus on healing — body, mind, and spirit.
